N5663 was built as a Sikorsky H-19D and delivered to the US Army on February 27, 1957. Its construction number was 55-1267 making it one of the very last of 1281 model S-55's built.

Prayers for the young pilot and his family.

A terrible loss.

Also on the same day, a H-34 (N3880J) crashed near Wilton, Iowa doing AG work (I didn't know they did that).
The pilot was killed.

RIP to both and condolences to all.
