Some excellent flying by Bud Granley in the 109 and Steve Hinton in the 190.

Thanks for posting your pics, Al. I saw some pics and vids elsewhere too and was quite impressed. Wish I could have been there. The BMW seems to sound different to the ASh´s I have heard, regarding the video sound.
The 190 looks stunning.

What's the cable for that runs to the front of the '109 tailwheel?

How cool is that... in the video I almost regretted having the DB engine mixing with the sound of the BMW because it'd be kind of neat to hear it on its own. Never thought I'd see the day when I didn't want to hear an airworthy DB... nice problem to have.

At a guess, the tailwheel lock

Great shots Al-would love to have been there.

The shot of the 109 on taxi is interesting-the u/c legs seem very short?? Any thoughts on that anyone?

DaveM2,
Probably a combination of effects, almost dead on side view so the angle of the gear isn't visable, and some foreshortening from the cameras lens, ever notice that during a ball game, shots from the outfield camera makes the batter appear to be taller than the pitcher who's 66 ft. closer to the camera?
And what do you think about our 'Summer' weather? THis years it's like living in a perpetual February or a lead sack :?

They do look a lil short compared to other Emils, will have to check more pics.

Certainly a feasible explanation-I have no idea of the distance people are from the flight line there and the consequent lens compressions. Al-do you have a few shots from different angles?
Is that summer?-middle of winter here and not a cloud in the blue sky - like that five out of seven days in sunny Blenheim
