Aww no, this is a shame. 70% scale Spitfire XIV replica built by Ross Ferguson a few years ago. Really, truly, a stunning piece of work.

I hope it's not too badly damaged. The engine is (if I remember correctly) a small-block Chevy V8.

Just a guess, but based on the pic, it looks like it nosed over after the forced landing, which gives me hope that the damage is cosmetically superficial, although a new prop and some engine work is clearly on the books.

That's easily one of my favorite replicas ever- he really nailed the subtle curves on that thing and it looks perfectly proportional, something which unfortunately can't be said of many 7/8 replicas.

I agree with Lynn,

that is a phenominal replica. At first when I saw the picture I just assumed it was full size, and then had to look extra close to notice the pilot was a little bigger than it should be in a full size Spitfire.

I hope it's an easy/inexpensive repair to get her back up in the air.
