According to one of the local newspapers, there will be a B-17 at the Brooks Field (KRMY) fly-in in Marshall, MI tomorrow:
http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/article/20110908/ENTERTAINMENT/109080306/Fly-Marshall-weekendAnyone know which B-17 this might be? Yankee Lady's schedule says she'll be in Teterboro, NJ, and Aluminum Overcast will be in Cincinnati, which eliminates the two most local B-17s. Any ideas?
Needless to say, I'll be heading over to check it out anyway...

I don't know if you'll see this post before heading over there, but it doesn't appear there will be an actual B-17 there. It looks like there will be a presentation by an aviation archeaologist with some bits excavated from the crash site of a Fortress flown by a pilot from Marshall.
http://deals.battlecreekenquirer.com/localevents/event//13655-Brooks-Field-Historic-Fly-and-Drive-in-80th-AnniversaryI'm not sure if Brooks Field is big enough to handle a B-17. The biggest thing I've ever seen operate out of there is a Beech 18.

Went out there and looked around, no B-17. According the people in charge, there was supposed to be one coming in but it wasn't going to make it due to the weather. Some T-34s were also kept at home because of the fog. There were some interesting pictures of the old Air Mail era in the hangar, other than that not much to look at.
