Those are great pictures, Vlado!

I like the first one best.

Place and opportunity, that pretty much sums it up, right? :drink3: :drink3:

Saludos,

And I'd bet the house those A10 drivers would have traded places with you in a heartbeat Vlado :)

Vlado, how far did you have to pull it back, so the Hogs could keep up ? :D

Great shots, Vlado! :supz:

Has anyone ever told you that you have WAY too much fun? :D

Thanks for the comments.......he-he!!
I flew at normal cruise of 35" & 2350 rpm, indicating 225 kts. The Hog drivers said they were sipping gas at that speed and altitude. They arrived at IRK with TOO much gas & spent extra time doing their site surveys (passes overhead to view the surroundings and display box).
For the photogs - that late/low afternoon sun made for some dramatic images.
Enjoy!

Vlado, love to hear more about the P-51 vs A-10 comparison, are they too fast for you, are you faster than they are, can you keep with them in maneuvers, anything and everything you can expound upon if you get a few minutes....really looks like you had some fun with them, great pix.

Thanks in advance-

Mark

Corsair:
The A-10 has more performance capability than the Mustang. But is shares many similarities that its envelope is much more compatible in the Heritage display than say the F-4 or other swept wing jets (We fly FOR the F-4s in the Heritage display: we make slow turns, not too many G's & try to keep our speeds up). Whereas, for the A-10, we do not need to worry at all, the Hog can hang with us all day long in any airshow condition. The Hog has a nice fat wing with lots of lift that equals great turning. It has lots of power (without ordinance of course).
Hope that helps,
VL
