JDK's innfamous irregualr ininteresting qquiz retn #77824q

Well, The JDK quizlet's back. Usual rules and rewards; Mike can't play, you get a warm feeling if you're right, and cheating, if you can figure out how to, is welcome.

The clue: This one's rare - will be unique when it flies.

...and it's somewhere with something with a WWI vintage British roundel on it. Now, where did I leave my googling fingers...

It's a British roundel, indeed, but not a Bolly, not German...

Hmmm... now to be serious.

Wow, I didn't think it would get this far without any guesses correct in any details.

No one's got the nationality (it was a major W.W.II combatant nation, and type).

It's mixed construction, very. Single engined - but the engine's not there.

It's not in NZ, South Africa, or Australia, and there were Hawkers near it, several.

Onward...

Well, in looking at the hydraulic/pneumatic fittings in the lower L/H corner, they're definitely British. It's single engine as evidenced by the mag switch and single throttle, and probably a Hawker product based on the hydraulic selector behind the throttle similar to that found in the Hurricane. However with all this said, my knowledge of early Hawker products is limited, so I submit my 2 pence, and defer to those more knowledgable on the subject than I.
