Civilian Marauder

Few Martin B-26 Marauders are known to have reached the civil registry after World War II. One eventually reached the CAF, but what about another B-26 that was flown down in Mexico. I remember reading somewhere that it crashed and sank into a lake near Mexico City. Could anyone elaborate on some of the details of this sunken B-26 in Mexico, and if anything is left of it? Thanks in advance.

It belonged to CANCO (Continetal Can Corp) and, again my long time friend who worked @ CAl Aeromotive then worked on the conversion including an, as he put's it
'the heaviest god damned semicircular overstuffed couch you ever encountered' in the aft cabin, and enough radio and state of art the navigation gear to fly to Mars.
It was N5546N and crashed fatally @ Odessa TX in 1995

That tells me a good bit more about the CAF's B-26. Was the other B-26 also owned by CANCO at one time or another?

Wow, I never knew about the one that crashed in mexico.The other bird wiped out the upper leadership at continental can company back in the day.
