John Mohr flew the Starman. I don't know who was in the Jenny, but he hopped out of it right into a P-51 for its portion of the show.

I know the pilot on the Jenny is David Martin but I cant say who owns it.

The Jenny is far and away my favorite, and it's super cool to hear the pilot hopped out of it and into a P-51. Wow, I want his job! As for that Stearman's "low pass", was he flying a high speed knife edge , or was it more like one of those old "Crazy Cub" routines ? Either way, it's obvious I need to catch a show with this guy in it.

That was a full flightline length pass with the wingtip at that heighth. That was on Saturday. During Friday's practice show, I saw his wingtip go below the grass several times on that pass. If you'll notice, he's doing it one handed - the other is waving to the crowd.

Mohr's routine is a very 'old school' barnstormer type (non of the hyper-aerobatic flying of purpose-built aerobatic aircraft), and its the only one of its kind as the Stearman he flies is still powered by the original 220-hp Continental (unlike other Stearman routines which have upgraded engines with far more horse-power). It's never quite as good as the first time you see him fly, when you don't yet know that some of the things you see, really are planned. : ) But it remains great, no matter how many times I have seen the routine. My favorite part of the act that he does, when he does it, is the "falling leaf".

I've seen FHC's JN-4 fly and after watching it go past, you can understand why early fighter pilots in WW1 threw bricks @ each other. Majestic is the best description I could give to describe a fly by from a Jenny.

Sorry Steve, seemed to be out of position when Howard was launching and recovering. He did an admirable job, throttling back so he didn't run over Stuart in the Wildcat! He dinner with them and the other pilot types Fri and Sat, it's a hoot listening to all the war stories (for the 6th or 7th time). Howard is a very interesting fellow!
