Spad fires up in the dark

We had a night photo shoot at North Weald on Saturday evening, with a Halloween theme. Eight aircraft did engine runs including a Yak 52, Hurricane, Vampire T11, Venom, Jet Provosts and a Strikemaster. The highlight had to be the Kennet Aviation Skyraider strapped down and running at full chat.

Fantastic! I love night engine run shots with flames, etc.

those are some great shots! Have any of the others? I have to agree that the flames are cool.

i'll bet a 3350 at full throtle "sitting still" would really be something to hear. thanks for sharing to great pics. any chance of hearing it?
