Beautifully photographed aviation DVD to be released

Fri Jul 22, 2005 6:25 pm

Fred Benenati posted this link, http://www.onesixright.com/video/aerials.html, over at the MustangsMustangs.com BBS. It's a clip from a documentary film entitled "One Six Right: The Romance of Flying" and it's subject is the history, people, and aircraft of Van Nuys Airport in southern California, the World's busiest General Aviation airport. This clip has some very nice aerial footage of a highly polished NMF Mustang, an A-26, and an DC-3 in vintage United Airlines colours.

The film is going to be released in theatres this summer, and the DVD is due out by the end of the year for less than $30 US.

Thanks to Fred for pointing out this unique film that should become a favourite with a great many aviation fans.

Cheers,

Neil H.

Buy it. It's amazing. You won't regret it. It's my favorite aviation DVD. Brian Terrwilliger is truely talented and I can honestly say I haven't seen anything like it before.

Saw it on the big screen. Excellent video and lots of great interviews. A fantastic history of SoCal as well. Oh, and WARBIRDS!

If you like that you will really like 16 Left the companion DVD which I believe you were watching. Two really must have DVD's. I also went over to Evil Bay and found Enya's "Only Time". I have gone the way of BluRay and I'm waiting for these to come out in HD. I used 16 Right to test my new TV's....Sweeet
