Whats the story on it? I know they are expensive to own and operate, did flying it become an expense that the owner did not want to make? (totally understand if it is I have a motorcycle that sits for the same reason)

The owner used parts removed from it as patterns to reproduce P-51 parts for sale. I believe it is back together now and stored in a hangar. He's got quite a collection of airframes, B-25, Spitfire, Hurricane, various P-51 parts, a couple of Corsairs, etc, as well as a Merlins overhaul shop.

Yep, this is C-GPSI, the old Richie Rasmussen restoration from Alberta...has a nifty history...was found disassembled and crated in (iirc) Minnesota some time around 1980, still wearing its 424 (Aux) Sqn RCAF markings circa 1955. It was a very welcome and appropriate (424 was based at Mt.Hope) guest exhibit for a time soon after CWH's new building opened.
