Now with TFC at Duxford, although I believe that Yanks are building up another airframe using some of the left-over parts from the rebuild.

Okay, it can't be all 3 guys. :)

Time for you two to go into conference and come out with a final decision. Just don't take as long as the NFL refs do looking at replay. :)

If suffered an engine failure while being flown by Bill Yoke IIRC.
Parts were used as a basis for a rebuild. The wing was torn off in the off airport landing.
I believe it suffered a second crash as well.
Yanks acquired the remains at some time and used it to rebuild.
Tallichet acquired it and it was sold to Stephen Grey along with a FG-1D.
That is how it got to the TFC.

And the left-over parts from the rebuild (which allegedly used the centre section from an ex-Alex Vraciu combat F6F, which ended up in the Victory Air Museum after the war IIRC) are now being used by Yanks to build up another airframe, with the identity of 40467, the Vraciu aircraft.
