This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Pakistan received almost 100 denavalised Sea Furies from 1950-54, does anyone know, or have evidence that any have survived ?

Dave

Good question! I haven't heard of any survivors, and there aren't any in the major airforce museum over there. My guess is that if anything did survive, it's in a junk yard some where. Pakistan also got a lot of Tempests too if I recall correctly. I wonder if any of these survive?
Cheers,
Richard

Dave/Richard--
Boyyy wouldn't it be nice to see a piston-powered Hawker of any sort emerge from that quarter...Might be a good idea to go to Jagan's site and ask after the PAF Hawkers on the forum there (which deals with Warbirds not only of India but also in neighbouring countries). That said, I fear the answer may be a disappointing one: Pakistan does not seem to have retained any of its prop-driven Warbirds, the gate guards et cetera seem to be all F-86s and F-104s and the like. Lots of interesting info on Jagan's website though in any case, if you haven't seen it it's well worth a look:
