Welcome to WIX? If that was your welcome, I'd hate to see your "get lost". Maybe I missed something in your thread links but I did not see those exact photos of 609. What happened to good old Texas hospitality?

Few things -

1) No emotion was implied and thus no emotion attached to my initial post. The wording is only a problem when you read into it.

2) I read his first post (the one in the Air Spray L-188 thread) before making my post here.

3) I would suggest that before calling me an agitator, the Mods might want to look into the OP's history because the more I look at the posts, the more I find both posts "fishy".

I wonder if there is more to the situation that what meets the eye in my December 8, 2011 post. Or yesterday’s, for that matter.
Is it possible I tried to deceive forum members about the mechanical problems the Canadian crew was having with the L-188, or just a call of attention upon needless speculation? I am sure there are ways to verify the aircraft’s specific mechanical and instrument difficulties, so I'll leave it at that.
About the F4U-5 photo and comment I posted yesterday, what sort of message could I be trying to convey to this community? Is it not true that the aircraft is in dire need of adequate preservation from those who have such responsibility, in Honduras? I don’t see any harm done to anyone else.

I’m really sorry for annoying some of you guys, with whatever may not seem to be right in either – or both – posts.

Ok, I should have sent my comment to CapFlyer via a PM. Dan K's post and forum link gave me a more in depth understanding of CapFlyer's "welcome". Carlos P61 may have cast the first stone on this deal. At least it would appear that he rubbed Zorro's face in the dirt in the L-188 post. Pistols at dawn anyone? Sorry CapFlyer. My bad.

CB13/FAH 609 Folks:

Good day!

While we welcome the aft view of F4U-5N FAH 609 c. Nov-211 by the colleague CP61 that shows the real status of this aircraft still in open air storage, his comments are semi-transparent with the L-188 going to AirSpray some time ago & the real issues with the FAH Museum folks & FAH 609.

Plz let us know the status of the poss CT Museum crew travelling to Tegucigalpa, Honduras via TACA to lend a hand & the making of the hand made canopy cover that you mentioned sometime ago. We are willing to assist with some of those expenses.

We were informed today as welcome news that the FAH Museum has received a better canopy as gift fm fellow aircraft restorer Mr. Graham Hoskin of the Australian project/ sister ship FAH 603 Buno 123168 which will be exhibited in FAH scheme in the near furure, when fully restored! A small step in the chain of events that we give credit for. Tks.

We are also glad to inform that pretty soon will be a changing of the guard in the FAH leadership & a more simpathetic commander will be taking care of things. We will personally suggest to him to strongly reconsider the previous Smithsonian Restoration offer of FAH 609 and your offer to assist with the aileron & elevators restoration in Honduras.

The current Museum admin folks are stalling progress, in particular with this fine flying machine and show little momentum with the restoration/preservation initiative.
