Kermit Weeks has been updating his blog recently. There is alot of great info about his collection. The latest post shows his new storage hanger. There are some cool photos that show some of his goodies, including his B-17 and B-29.

It was also great to see video of him taking his Fokker D.VIII up for a test-flight yesterday - said to be the first time the aircraft has flown in 9-years.
This as posted to Kermit's facebook page:

The Starliner is now owned by Lufthansa and is a parts aircraft for the one they're restoring.

I believe the Starliner was donated to FoF after Lufthansa had stripped it of usable parts for their restoration.

With the new buildings I wonder if the Lancaster will be unpacked?

Yup, according to an earlier entry in Kermit's blog he mentions that the plane was donated to FoF and that it has received a recent paint job.

I am not sure if this has been covered here before, but is there plans in the future to restore the B-29 and B-17 to flight or as static's?

There's a reason they call it a storage hangar

Nice news. Good reason to revisit in a year or two. Unrestored planes can be more fun and informative than finished ones. The Garber tours that were the inspiration for this used to be one of the coolest pilgrimages in aviation. Bet it will really speed up the restoration activity too.
