WWII German Aircraft Seats

Sat Jul 30, 2005 12:31 am

I am in need of some education on WWII German Aircraft seats. How were they built? What were their materials? Was there a generic type of seat like the US used in many of our aircraft? What identifying marks were put on them (I am familiar with the FL markings on gauges, and the RBNR and 2,3 letter codes for factories used later in the war). Does anybody have any photographs of seats removed from aircraft? Appreciate any information you may have!

Hi John... no pictures, but there's a guy on Barnstormers selling an Me-262 seat. I seem to remember seeing photographs accompanied with it, but perhaps that was on an earlier listing. You might ask him though.

Cheers,
Richard
