Chuck Doyle was sitting in the Warbird area with pictures... this one shows the P40 he donated to the Air Force Museum. He told me they never traded him anything in return for the P40!

Great pics, guys. Col., I especially liked yours of the White Knight. Just prior to viewing your pics, I saw her fly over the firehouse on her way into WPAFB. Guess she's on her next-to-last flight before retirement.
Dan,is that the same Bird Dog that has been at Mt Comfort? If so,I have a few shots of her myself. Very nice airplane.

Brian... The Birddog with 12977 is from Paris, Texas... first Oshkosh and I think it is the first time it has been out of the state. The airplane came out of Italy awhile ago and first flew on the US registry in 2004.

It's nice to see the markings on one of Jack Raush's P-51s changed.
Jim Browning was awesome guy and well respected pilot who's actual score was more like 10-12. It's a treat to see an unknown get some much deserved recognition. Now for some pacific schemes!

Jack... you are one of many people you have expressed the same thoughts on Browning. Guess I will good look him up in my books tonight!

Jim Browning was THE best!
His family was devastated when he was killed. He had written to his sister Lois that he had the best P-51 and crew in the 8th AF and not to worry that it would always bring him home. He was killed in another P-51. I don't think they've ever gotten over that fact.

IMHO, the men in the machines that are displayed should always be in the forefront when we look upon them.
