USAAC/USAAF Data Plates

Hi All,
I'm looking for images of aircraft data plates used on WW2-era US aircraft. Specifically looking for the Air Corp or Army Air Forces data plates which show the US military serial number, not the manufacturer's data plate.
I'm restoring a 1943 L-2M and have no idea what the military data plate looked like. The Taylorcraft factory plate is still there but the military plate is missing.

If you haven't seen one yet, let me know and I can e-mail you a few photos of some of the USAAC data tags off of a few of my PT's.

Thanks for your offer. No, I've not been able to find any images yet. I did see a Piper with a (presumed) repro data plate but have no idea if it's accurate or not. It appeared to be some type of silk-screen job rather than the painted/stamped plate I was expecting.
On the L-2, the factory plate and USAAC/USAAF plate were mounted on the top of the observer's table in the rear cockpit. Mine just has the factory plate and 4 holes where the military plate was (forcibly) removed. I'm assuming it was probably standard practice to pull the government ID plate when the aircraft was sold off as surplus??? Either that or someone wanted a momento.
