Anti-ANN Campaign at Osh

Sun Jul 31, 2005 7:25 pm

Ok, someone fill me in, I seen many ANN with a red circle and cross through it on many stands at Osh this year?

What is the deal with this?

Thanks,

Someone must be trying to expand the Sun-N-Fun boycott of Jim Campbell and Aero News Network. Sometimes Jim and his team tend to ask questions where other folks feel they shouldn't. If someone knows details please share.

Zoom has tried unsuccesfully to sue out of exsistance and to forever silence a number of people and one manufacturer that have spoken the truth about him and exposed his sleazy business operations. For a complete and unbiased as well as documented history of this, go search rec.aviation.homebuilt for J. Ousterhout's website. From there you can read the history of all of this inculding Campbell's claim to having over 13,000 hours as PIC, being a test pilot school graduate, having flown in excess of 1000 different types/models of aircraft, having flown African Relief flights and so on and so on. It also details his attempt to force CGS out of business, including running ads that were never approved or authorized and then trying to collect for them.

Unfortunately Campbell and his shadow, Juan J., leave a very bad impression with most that they come in contact with. It's too bad that there are several on the ANN staff that are really good and standup types that are working hard to write good and truthful pieces.

That's a real shame if true. Jeez what's with some of the people that run aviation publications? Not the one that threatened to sue somebody on here lately (Air Comix) but I know of another one that had some strange incidents a decade ago and another magazine's fired editor that was up to no good. Jesus, they're all almost as nuts as us musicians.
