"Fifi" came by the house for a visit!

Thu Apr 12, 2012 11:02 am

I live a few miles due east of Ft Lauderdale Executive Airport and that's lucky for me since many warbirds, antiques, etc use this nice airport to set up base during their South Florida visits. It's not unusual for me to hear the rumble of round engine airplanes flying over, be they the regular BE-18s on their way to the Bahamas with their morning cargo, the occasional DC-3 and last week it was a Ford Trimotor! But a few weeks ago, a much deeper rumble announced that "Fifi", the world's only flyable B-29 was in the air! It took some patience, but I got a few shots of here.......

I was only able to catch her on departure.....
