Save a Phantom - Shoot a Viper !

First FSAT QF-16 is airborne. Bet the Phantics like me are quite happy.... could save a few QF-4s maybe... but unlikely...given the response i got recently.

Unfortunately........ Phantoms are toast. Everytime you see one flying, should be considered a good day and a rare experience. A couple years at best and the CF example will be the last one in the USA until it stops flying for some reason (such as running out of spares).......

Sometime they will run out of "classic" F-16s too.......

I think we'll be OK on spares.

There are other sharks in the water that we have to watch more closely..... :drink3:

But don't put the Phantoms away just yet ! According to the article, this was the first MANNED flight of a QF-16. No word about the first NOLO flight !
