The tail on O.D. C-47 minus outer wing panels is l/n 9709, 4223845 C-47A-35-DL (WFU)

The bare metal one is l/n 4837, 4120067, C-53-DO, then NC 61677, N 5107, N 57171, W/O
picture also demonstrates one of the fun things about weighing a tail dragger, the lumber tower (called TARE) that gets weighed along with the airplane, then subtracted from the gross weight @ the tail scale indications unless you have a platform scale to sit on top of that lumberyard explosion.

I think the airplane in the open doorway in picture #1 is the Bfw M-35 so the picture must be prior to one of the early pre war European air tours (1935/36?).

I was wondering about that one myself. It appears to be the He-274 recon-bomber, a derivative of the 177 with a more conventional four-engine layout.

The He-177 GREIF did have four engines, the Daimler equivalent of the W-3420 ALLISON but only one nacelle and prop per side so that's either an Me-264 or the He-277 or Ju-488 in photo #4.

GOGLE IMAGE the Heinkel HE-177 GREIF, Then the HE-277. HE-177, one nacelle per side utilizing a paired W-24 Daimler DB-610 and each engine pair turning one propeller per side through a gearbox in what appears to be a conventional twin engine configuration. The Heinkel HE-277 was a converted 177 airframe using four DB-603 engines in individual nacelles each turning one prop per nacelle two per wing in a standard four engined/four propeller configuration. It displayed some 'unusual' fishtailing characteristics and was modified to a twin fin configuration.
The DB-605 was pretty much a travelling bonfire and prone to catch fire just because it could.

What's the blurred racer, it sort of looks like the Miles-Atwood but I believe the M-A was fixed gear, whatever it is, it definately has a MENASCO stuck on the front end.

I'll take a guess and say it's a Crosby CR-4.
