I must say it was an awesome surprise to look out of my window of my US Air flight and see the B-29 on the ramp as the sun was coming up this morning! Needless to say, I did not have any other interesting warbird sightings on my way back to Oregon today...

Enjoy your visit out there-- I have not been to the museum since they have moved location.

I presume the DC-7 is still there. I do hope they get it back in the air again.

Here are some pics, The museum needs to rethink there set up a bit and crowd control was a bit overkill in my opinion.

Just saw a picture on Facebook. Looks like Diamond Lil had a nose gear collapse today at Charlotte.

Boy, that place is jinxed. The DC-7 lost an engine last Nov there and now a gear collapse on Diamond Lil. Article includes photo:

I'm a little out of the loop, but when did the B-24 revert back to it's old name and nose art and why? Somehow I missed that whole story...

Ok, thanks for the link and clearing up the whole nose-art-switch thing for me. Don't know how I missed that one...
