We picked up a GoPro last December. What a wonderful device; size, quality, and price. Now, using the ball turret as a mount ... that's just cheating!

Jim, that's sweet. When you get your cover, besure to use a sharpie and black out the screws that mount the housing to the case. How do you snap the shots out on the wing??

Fly safe,

Lynn

Jim,

Asking permission (please, please, pretty please) to use the first two pics for an American History class I teach.

(Say "yes" for the kids, Jim) :prayer:

Those are awesome! Thanks for sharing. I have both the GoPro Hero2 and the Drift Stealth 170. I have to use the Drift on my head beacause of slim canopy clearance, but I've been looking all over the Pitts for unique places to mount the GoPro. You still have your S-1 Jim?

Those things are fun aren't they? I use 'em for my racecar ;)

Jim-

How do you mount it to the wingtip of the Mustang? I've been afraid of using the suction cup and leery of using the adhesive..... would love to know what you used.

thanks,
gunny

Apparently the suction cups are really good and can hold on during high speeds, but I've heard about Sticky Pods that are better for external use.

Cavanaugh's Brat has them screwed to the wing tip. The ones I like are under the elevator out towards the tip. I seen them mounted on the hard points under the wing as well...

Could you continue to tease us by posting a few seconds of video from the GoPros to youtube? :drink3:

Now what would be cool is to mount one of the cameras on the vertical fin of the 262 and get videos and stills of the fighter making high-side gunnery passes on the B-24.

Better yet, if the TF-51 has a gunsight get shots of the 262 in the gunsight!
