Allison V-1710 info needed

I've just made friends with a family with a V-1710 in their hall closet. The dad plans to build a Jay Leno-esque hot round around it. I havent seen but have heard about it from one of his sons and I was trying to find out what model it is. Ian says that the data plate is missing, as well as the nose case and supercharger.
This being the case, does anyone have any suggestions of other items on this engine that might determine, or at least narrow it down a bit what model it might be?

Without the data plate you may not be able to pin down the dash number and it will make it difficult to determine rotation direction (you can make a leftie into a rightie by swapping a few items and timing dots around, kinda like a DDA diesel truck engine). Gear case not needed but some sort of VEE drive will be needed, the best ones were built in the Everett area in the 50's/60's by WESTERN GEAR for unlimited hydroplane racing (WESTERN GEAR is long gone) you might get a tip to finding one from the Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Museum in Kent, WA. the gearboxes were beyond tough as sticking a propeller blade into water 16000 times a minute is the equivelent to going out with a garden trowel and scooping out a chunk of the asphalt in your street 16000 time a minute. as the old guys stashed that stuff in barns and sheds after the turbines took over. Same story with the blower, there are a bunch of them around, the hard part will be determining what dash # you/they have. I'd track down and become very friendly with a silverback who is really steeped in tractor motors, it's been too many years for me to be much good at them anymore.

Would you mind posting a pic of this particular engine.

There is one sample left or buried back S. of the border. It was offered to Mr. Dan Chavatal in a FAH P-63E deal... c. 1977 with the fuselage of P-63E AAF 43-11732. We are still looking for it with all its data plates.
