Looking for info on Todd Pederson

Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:08 pm

I know this a long shot, but I figured if anyone can help out, it's the people here on WIX.

A photographer who I work with saw the pictures I took of the Avenger restoration and relayed a story to me:

He grew up in Livermore, California and one of his boyhood friends was Todd Pederson. When his family moved to the D.C. area, they continued to write for a little bit, but then the communication fell by the wayside. During the 1990s, Todd looked my friend up because he was coming into town as a consultant for the Smithsonian with the restoration / conservation of Japanese aircraft then at the Garber facility in Silver Hill, Maryland. Todd Pederson was brought in by the Smithsonian because he is considered one of the foremost authorities on World War II Japanese aviation. My friend and Todd had dinner and then went their separate ways. Despite the online revolution and social networking websites, my friend has been unable to reconnect with Todd and would like to do so. I told my friend about WIX and said if anyone could come up with the info, it would be the people on this website. I hope someone out there can prove me write. Please PM me if you have any information or need any additional information from me.

Todd is still very active with Japanese aircraft, and can be located through the www.j-aircraft.com forum. I think he is still with NASM.
