FHC Zero/P-40 and HFF North American Fly Day

Mon Jun 11, 2012 4:00 pm

Lots of great flying at Paine Field this past Saturday. It started at noon with the public debut of the Flying Heritage Collection Zero as well as the P-40 in it's new paint. After that Historic Flight Foundation celebrated North American built aircraft by putting up 7 aircraft. Only complaint is that the high noon lighting makes for less than stellar pictures.

And being Paine Field you never know what surprises you may get.

Super groovy! You know I'm diggin' the Hawk, but the Zero looks pretty trick too... nice, nice, nice...

Thanks for sharing these, Al...

Awesome aircraft. Love'em. Looks like quite a tight fit in the back of the Zero.

Excellent stuff as usual.

You are spot on with your noon lighting conditions. It is the complaint of many from all corners of the globe.

Cheers,

I'll be interested to see which type returns to the air first, Stuka or Black Widow. pop2

Nice shots Al, it looks as though you had much better lighting than we did over on the HFF side of the field.

Thanks! It's usually a toss up but I think it's just slightly better on the FHC side. Plus there's the startup, taxi and parade after the flying. The passes tend to be closer on the HFF side though.
