Warbird Publishers?

Hey, any WWII publishers out there? I am compiling, from my father's scrapbooks, his story, in his words from letters and postcards from the time he left on the 50 train ride to San Antonio through advanced certificaton in P-40's. He was then off to India and flew P-47's, some 38's and some 51's in the 60th FS of the 33rd FG, 10th AF.

I have about 100 letters, post cards, some every 2-3 days during training, capturing the daily trials of a cadet. Pictures galore, class of 43K graduation books, etc.

Still in processing stage but should be a great view into history. To be called "Fire From the Clouds, Chronicles of a Fighter Pilot".

Should be a good book ... I love reading personal stories like that. Your 'compliation' sounds pretty much what Sandra Merrill did for her uncle, Capt. Don Emerson (4th FG, KIA 12/25/44) in Donald's Story. After waiting forever to buy a copy, I finally got one directly from Sandy. Excellent book with much detail of his personal life and wartime experiences, both in training and in the ETO. Most of it was based on his frequent and detailed letters home, in addition to input from the family.

The Warbird Digest people are publishing a long-overdue book on the Cavalier and Piper Enforcer series ... can't wait for that one.
