R-2800 Tools Snap On Y-905

Fri Jun 29, 2012 9:15 am

Does anyone around here happen to have a (circa 1958) Y-905 Snap On 5/8 cylinder socket wrench? It is angled to fit down next to the heads. I will buy on (or 2) from you. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks!

Drew: I think this will be all you need beside a long extension: http://www.drillspot.com/products/66470 ... _3_8_Drive

The Y-905 was basically a straight shaft cylinder nut wrench with just a slight angle to the horizontal part of the extension from what I could see in the catalog pictures I found.

Problem we have is we borrowed one and shattered the box end. That was with hand force too, not air or impact. I have to find a replacement for the owner. and we still need to finish taking the engine down. Its always something :(

You should try contacting snap-on. there is an off chance there could be a few stashed away. i found the hood for my 80 el camino that way. it was tucked away at a dealer ship for over 25 years and it was a brand new original gm part.
good luck
