Just out of interest, did the real D Day paratroopers have a reserve chute like this person is wearing? It seems a little low for a reserve to be very effective, but then the photo may be deceptive.

The paratroopers had mohawk haircuts, didn't they? They did in the comics and on model boxes anyway.

Not many of the parartroopers had Mohawks. From what I understand the "Filthy Thirteen" from one stick in the 101st had the cut and some "war paint" there seems to have been a few here and there in the 101st with the Mohawk but very rare in the 82nd...and not much at all after D-Day.


And the reserve chute seems appropriate..
