AERO UNION AUCTION

Sun Jul 22, 2012 10:43 am

Starman Bros. will auction off all of AERO UNION assetts on Aug 2nd and 3rd. All 7 p-3a's will be sold via private treaty sale. Wish I could afford to get one.

I saw all the Aero Union P-3s sitting in storage at McClellan Airport in Sacramento the other day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I read some where that the P-3's were only on loan to private industry and that the US gov't would take them back when industry was finished with them.

Or try to, anyway. Last time (Feb) none of the bids met the reserve price. Reports vary as to whether 2 or 4 P-3s were subject of bids, maybe this time the asking price(s) will be more in touch with reality but I doubt any will fly again. Spare parts. :(

They are the S2 gurus, and seem to be on buying spree for Fire Fighting assets?

I found the above in another thread, and thought it belonged here.

Now the questions~

Were they bought to fly or to be sold to someone who will fly them?
Or will they be parted out?
