Oh, WELL DONE!!! This is a series I had not seen yet... I do have some color B-26 stuff I've culled from the LIFE archives, but nothing like this. Fantastic find, thanks!

Very nice photos!
I wonder if the actual date of the photos is in 1943 rather than 1944. The red bordered star and bars national insignia on the airplanes is the one in use from July to September 1943. Is it possible the magazine was dated 1944, but the photos may have been taken in 1943?

Those were 322 BG planes. I wonder if they got any of Flak Bait at that point in her career?
