I've read that for many years Wayne's grave was unmarked.
It seemed the family (and probably the cemetary) didn't want it beome too much of an attraction.
IIRC, it was finally marked in the 1990s.

I'd like to stop by and pay my respects next time I'm in the area.

Yes I believe the family/cemetary marked the grave in the 90's. It seemed to be well respected. His old beloved boat can also be chartered if anyone had an interest. Not sure the cost of that. Amazing that the Newport Beach airport is named after him and many other things in his name as well in the area and to have such a non-formal grave seemed odd to me. Not complaining mind you, just seemed odd.

Drove by the Camarillo airshow on the way back yesterday but didn't stop as it was after 5pm but saw a P-51 and b-25 buzzing around. Wonder how that show is doing?
