I do recall a few years ago they were flying their B-25 occasionally but I'm not sure now,

Havent flown the B-25 in a while, but the Lockheed and the Staggerwing fly occasionally.

What's the status of the proposed Monterey museum? I did wonder if they'd fly some of the aircraft up there, assuming it does eventually happen.

I was just looking at the museum's website. There is no mention of the Monterey museum although in the past I recall there being at least some info about it on their site. I dd see however they now have 170 aircraft. Thats quite a collection!

Looks like they broke ground in December of 2010 for the new museum, a 3-5 year project:

I have heard rumors about this since shortly after it came to Chino, but nothing "semi-official" until very recently. Look at my reply to Pat Carry's post.

Pat, I hope Yanks updates their website with new information about plans to fly the Connie soon. What has got me excited though and this is also where Ralph Pettersen's information came from is the recent info. sent to Yanks Air Museum members in the lastest newsletter. Here is the excerpt about the Connie:

Did you spot Yanks’ Connie at the Chino Air-show? Yanks opened the doors to the EC-121 Constellation for tours. The weather could not have been better for a day spent outdoors watching aircraft, shopping, and enjoying the unique surroundings. Thank you all for com-ing out and seeing us at the 2012 Chino Air-show. It was an overwhelming SUCCESS! We had more than 1750 people tour the Constella-tion at the show. Our guest were raving of the unique experience and many families walked away with a great memory and a smile. The exposure we received from this event was extraordinary. Yanks Lockheed C-40 accompanied the Constellation at the show, set-ting the stage for a beautiful snapshot for some of Lockheed’s most famous aircraft. Visitors were inquisitive and excited, asking the crew/volunteers many questions as they walked through.
