Looking for this cannon plug (bomb intervalometer)

Tue Oct 23, 2012 2:30 pm

Looking for one cannon plug for a bomb intervalometer. The plug has two small pins on the top, two fat in the center, and one small bottom center. The colar is a "twist on type," rather than the "screw on" type.

I am working on getting the Norden and the bomb release system working in B25 Miss Mitchell, any help finding this plug would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

Cannon is now a part of ITT, have you tried contacting them for assistance? The stuff I see looks like contemporary connectors. Even if the inner guts aren't 65 year old pins and sockets all that stuff is pretty much interchangeable to make the plug do what you want.
See if the local avionics or radar repair shop can assist you.

Nate - I have a well used B-3B with the Cannon plug attached. I would be willing to sell Intervalometer. Please PM me and I will take some snap shots so you can better see if its what you are looking for...Leon

If I run into a stone wall I will touch base with ITT, thank you Inspector.

Still no luck. Jay with warbird parts is checking his stock at the moment.

A part number for the plug you want might help. There may be a modern interchange.

Still no luck, Jay has the 3 pin flavor of intervalometers. I will look in the manual for the part number on the plug and try calling Cannon. Thanks to all who helped.

Most genuine Cannon plugs have a part number stamped around the locking ring. It looks like one of the rings in the photos has just such a number. With that to start with I think you should be able to track it down. Unless the part with the ring is not the part you want.
