A-10 warthog frequencies

Thu Oct 25, 2012 6:04 pm

Hi guys, I have the live atc net on my phone to listen to air traffic and was wondering what base or airport supports the most a-10 warthog movement? I'd like to listen to them but they don't list them by aircraft unfortunately. So if anybody knows please inform mr of the state, base etc. I appreciate it!

D-M is the Hog training base.

Unfortunately, though, I have not idea how to find out their discrete air-to-air frequencies, which would be the most interesting to listen to. Those are also not likely broadcast over atc.net.

Barksdale is also a training base. Link to approach plate and link to AirNav page which has tower and approach freqs. You may be able to get on LiveATC as the approach freqs are shared with downtown Shreveport airport IIRC: http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1210/00391AD.PDF

not to get too off topic, but it's a theme with this jet. i have a friends at spang in both communities, one half waiting in limbo. now these guard units that converted from 16s, airing with an instinct for self-preservation, find themselves on the block. they hate it and rightfully so. but a friend from Fort Smith complained to me about it and all i could say was, "where do you think your jets came from?" PA, MA, and CT. life goes on.

Thanks guys for the good info! I'm going to try and see if I can get those on my phone. We really miss our hogs up here in ma.( 104th.) and at Bradley in ct too. We want our warthogs back!
