News flash out of Breckenridge Tx…

…In a joint venture with Vultures Row Aviation and Ezell Aviation the CAF Helldiver is fully dressed with lower gear doors. Vultures Row Aviation out of Cameron Park Ca. built a set of lower gear doors for the CAF Helldiver. The Helldiver is currently undergoing its yearly condition inspection at Ezell Aviation and Nelson and the crew did the final mounting of the doors.

Seeing cooperation between groups with similar projects is a win win! Way to go vultures row!
Apropriate to see this done at Ezells shop. Those artists rebuilt "the beast" when it arrived on a buch of flatbeds. Nobody knows it better.

I still vividly recall seeing the Helldiver wreckage sitting forlornly on that flatbed trailer at Breckenridge, begging to be rebuilt. I stuffed $100 in the donation can, and back then, that was a lot of money to me. It sure is great to see the Helldiver looking so fine! Hats off to Vultures' Row and Ezell Aviation!

Excellent news. I'm glad that you guys could get her "fully dressed" once again. The capabilities with modern technology to properly recreate old parts correctly is something that many people have been wanting for a long time and now we can do it for a reasonable cost, hopefully keeping these beauties flying for as long as we can and safer than ever before by being able to put modern metals on these planes without compromising their accuracy.

Ha! Vlado, you funny guy. I can guarantee that Chuck will even have the color of the Alcoa markings correct as well as the appropriate font to match the date the plane was originally built.
