Contact made with Family of WW II pilot who flew my O-58A

Tue Feb 12, 2013 11:00 pm

I sent an email to the daughter of a WW II Liaison pilot who flew my O-58A while he was at the Liaison Training School in Pittsburg Kansas. He was involved in a landing accident with my aircraft August 2nd, 1943. He went on to fly L-4s as an artillery pilot in Europe and also flew in Korea.

I heard back from her today and she is gong to share with me the details of his military service along with logs and photos. I am hoping there will be some that were taken while he was in training at Pittsburg, Kansas.

Will keep you posted as the story unfolds. here is a link to the daughters web page which has a photo of her Dad in front of an L-4.

Cool deal. It is always awesome to have a personal connection to the past when it comes to a warbird.
