I can't remember the year, but I do recall when TWA sold off their remaining Connies at the old overhaul base, what is now Kansas city International. I think you could get a package deal...two for $25,000. One of them was converted to a restaurant downtown, but failed within a year and was scrapped on the spot...made from page of KC Star both times.

You can tell because it's being towed.It broke down at the run up area.

At least it's a good depiction of the big differences between the regular and Super versions - also noticed a couple T-6s in the first photo.

Good mix of Connies and Starliners there. Sad to think that they're all gone now.
