July flight to Penscola. Humm, wouldn't a stop at OSH be something to see? :D

As I recall, the Oshkosh airfield is land-locked. Is there anywhere the Mars could tie up and be accessible to the AirVenture crowd?

And 20 years since Kermit Weeks displayed the Sunderland (Sandringham?)

What a way to get someone's blood racing!
I'd actually e-mailed Coulson's around Christmas time and suggested that if they couldn't deliver Philippine Mars to Pensacola around Sun-n-Fun, they would make a lot of people happy by showing her off at OSH. I didn't get any reply, but bringing her to OSH would seriously upgrade the EAA's 60th birthday party - just like the delivery flight of the Boeing Stratoliner to the NASM in 2003 seriously upgraded the 50th birthday party. Perhaps those who want to see this happen should start e-mailing Coulson's as well? (At least if the EAA is prepared to somehow help facilitate its landing on Lake Winnebago, sth we'll probably find out only after the event.)
And yes, if that induces Kermit Weeks to return in his Sunderland, he'll be welcome too! :-)

Can the Mars even get into that lake in OSH?
