P-51 Seat Mount Structure

Sun Mar 03, 2013 7:29 pm

Hi, we need a set of the seat mounting structure which supports the seat rails in a P-51D. A lot of this stuff is removed when the modern tilting seats are fitted to ease access to the rear seat, but we're fitting an original Warren Macarthur seat so need the structure. Does anyone know of a removed set of bits kicking around a hangar collecting dust?

Also need for the rudder a tip cap, lower cap and a metal trim tab (or drawings thereof - if they exist).

Many thanks

Lower cap I used a T-6 lower cap and did a bit of trimming and had to reshape the rear edge a little bit.
Roush has made some using kevlar and they are a PMA product IIRC.
I believe there was a 97 prefix P/N metal tab early on but I'm unsure if any drawings continued for that one or if they were replaced by later versions of fabric/resin types.

We make all of the trim tabs for the mustang as well as metal rudder tip caps. PM if you need any

Bump! Still after a set of the seat mounting structure - there should be a few sets of these kicking around after the conversions. Any help very much appreciated.

Thanks
