This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Cavanaugh Flight Museum is having its annual Warbirds over Addison show this weekend, May 18-19. (It is done in conjunction with Taste of Addison, a street festival done in nearby downtown Addison, TX).
Location is at the museum. Admission is the normal museum entry fee. There will be demos and flybys all day long, starting at 10:00am. Rides in some warbirds will be available (at normal pricing). Texas Flying Legends have their P-40 and Zero up from Houston, they will perform a 'dogfight' (I've seen this routine, it is pretty cool).
In you are in the DFW area, its a good chance to see some really nice airplanes.

What's the status of Diamond Lil? Any chance she'll make the Reading MAAM show June 8 and 9?

Thanks. Even though they're still booking rides, I'm going to take that as a "no".

The FG1D is ready to fly and has completed engine runs and a current inspection. With "Warbirds over Addison" this week, it was decided to get it over with before we start flying the Corsair. We really want to take the time to fly it and put 10 hours or so on it before we return it to the museum.

Went by today ... lots of birds being prepped for the weekend's festivities, and Fifi was up and prowling the Addison skies. What an impressive sight!
