Bosque San Juan de Aragon Park B-25s Status?

For some reason decided to check about these earlier, a bit of an update:

So clearly they have gone somewhere.


This was the last update in the last thread about this:

As I've learned from a friend of mine who lives in Mexico City, both B-25's are now in the hands of a team from the Mexican Air Force and will be restored to proper display condition.

As much as it would have been nice to acquire one of them, it's nice to see they are finally being taken care of. I can't wait to see how they look when they're all cleaned up and looking good.

I wish I could provide you with an update, but I haven't heard anything since my last post on the subject. I can get in touch with my contact in Mexico City and see if he's heard anything.

The B-25s are in a military air base close to Mexico city; they are being restored in the 4th Maintenance Echelon (toughest jobs go there). But they seem to be having a hard time finding parts. The idea is to build one of the two Mitchells that were there and display it in the AF museum in the same base; although these were not exMAF the MAF operated three "Js" if I remember correctly. I'll try to post pictures later..
