I've always respected that, unlike most of it's 'gobble them up' contemporaries, Boeing takes the time and expends the effort to pay homage to the strong foundation of merged companies the company is built on. Every issue of FRONTIERS has a center spread paying respect to the DC-3 or B-25, or some other product of the combined company, unlike others who couldn't wait to throw the 'conquered' companies history in the dumpster.
When Boeing merged MDC and ROCKWELL in, they actively solicited memorabilia from employees, service awards, stickers, photos, any of the ephemera that acumulates. These were carefully copied and the originals returned to their owners and the recorded item placed into Boeing historical Archives to tell and celebrate all facets of the combined histories.
That's a class act
