P-51D Extrusion Numbers

Sat Jul 20, 2013 5:46 pm

Hi, I'm trying to get a handle on the extrusion numbers (ALCOA or NAA numbers) for the extrusions profiles used in the P-51D fuselage. Does anyone have details easily accessible please?

Many thanks

ps, I should ad I don't mean the H profile main longerons from the firewall to station 248, I just need the smaller stringers details and the longerons for the tailcone. My structural repair book is currently 2000 miles away and my memory isn't what it used to be!

Stringers for the main fuselage appear to be Alcoa Die No. L24231. This is also used in the rear fuselage, along with Alcoa Die No. K5290.
Shelves in the fuselage have Alcoa Die No. 14044K used in them.
I have taken these from my really crappy 30 year old photocopy of EO 05-55C-3. I can email scans of the extrusion charts if it helps. I'll need to find my drawing disc again.
