P-38 being restored to flying condition?

To WIXERS:
In issue 89 of Classic Wings which I subscribe to is an article on the Texas Flying Legends a great story and article by the way. In the article is a tid bit of information about the restorations they have going on. Eric Hokuf of Air Corp Aviation has a P-38, P-47 and a P-51C that he and his gang are restoring for the Texas Flying Legends that is all of the information provided.
Does anyone know anything at all about the P-38 being restored I was totally unaware of another P-38 being restored to flying condition any where in the world other than WestPac's 2 P-38's that they are restoring. By back ground I mean what Ex P-38 might this be and if possible Serial Number on this P-38.
Also by all of the stuff being restored for the Texas Flying Legends there has to be some serious money behind this out standing museum. Anyone know anything about this museum as far as there back ground is concerned? Thanks in advance.

I remember an episode of Warbird Radio Live where Matt interviewed someone from Texas Flying Legends and they gave a bit of the back story of how they came to be. I've been really impressed with what this group has done over the past few years and how much it has expanded and will continue to expand (and the great people it has surrounded itself with). Whatever the specific airframes are that are/will be under restoration at Aircorps Aviation for TFL (P-38L, P-51C, and razorback P-47D), they will be of spectacular quality and authenticity (Aircorps won the Post-WWII Reserve Grand Champion award at Oshkosh this year for a Harvard Mk.IV restoration (which is owned by TFL), and are, I think, rewriting the book on what a truly authentic, back to 1944/1945, P-51D restoration means, with their main current project, the 9th AF combat-vet "Sierra Sue II").

The P-47D and P-38L were obtained off 'Jungle Bob' in NSW Australia !

The P-38L wreck is the former s/n. 44-26969 N7973.
The remains of this wreck along with all Bruce Pruett's P-38 spare's were obtained by Jungle Bob, who then sold the package to the TFLM

I know! I remembered it as if it had happened yesterday.

Thank you Lightning for the information on the P-38L. Good to know once and for all that that airframe will be rebuilt to fly again.
