Oscar's B-26 - chosen colour scheme

Guys, here is the scheme chosen by Oscar Duck for his B-26. CO's aircraft of 13th BS Korea circa 1952.

Don't want to start a conflict here, but didn't OD state he was interested in the "5th Chadwick" (as it was overall olive drab)?

Guys, I've moved from 5th to 6th Chadwick as I found these excellent photographs and the rendition. For the 5th 'C' I only could find one shot of the right side of the aircraft. My aircraft has a six gun nose ala 6th 'C' whereas the 5th 'C' was an eight gun nose as well. Anyway how does 'she' look?

Looks like Chadwick 6 was built as a B model, probably in Long Beach.

Good grief, What a bunch of hot pics and thanks for introducing me to the 13ths site. Too Freakin' cool!!!! That big Doug will be hot! We have 2 here in the city and I'm always impressed by the agressive stance of such a mean machine. Tailwinds, Steve.

It's going to look great O2 ! I love to see the A-26 in the air at shows. The only gripe I have is that most airbosses want to mix it with the other bombers. They don't realize that it is happier flying with the fighters ! An A-26 flying with the B-25s is boring but let it run with the P-51s or Corsairs and it gets real special seeing that big plane ripping around. When she's fast she literally screams and whistles during a pass. The crowd LOVES it !

Rick you need to come to Houston, the A-26 in the past has been put with the Fighters and 2 years ago did a pass with a P-51 and it and the P-51 pulled up steep

Nathan, I live in Houston and have been going to the WOH and before that EFD open houses since 1973.

Watch this year, the only time Joe gets to play is AFTER the bomber stream does their flybys. They stick him behind the B-25s. He has to break wide to establish his own pattern.

The A-26 has to carry 20 degrees of flap to stay in formation with B-17/B-25. Airspeed about 180 mph. Pull the flaps and the airspeed jumps to 230 mph NOW! It's quite a rush to slide into formation as the 5 ship in echelon with 4 Corairs off the wing.

Oscar Duece has some really unique experiences in his future !
