Oh yes, "Race 57" was the real deal. Originally operated
by Cook Cleland it raced in several Thompson Trophy races/
Rurchased, restotrf and flown by Bob Odegaard in the 90s,
it met an unfortunated end after being sold and operated by
others. Cook's "Race 74" survives.

Race 57 was sold and is still being operated by "others". It was Race 74 and Bob Odegaard that met a very unfortunate end. Here are both of them at Falcon Field airport in Mesa, Arizona a few years back.
