Garmin 650/750

Wed Nov 06, 2013 8:31 pm

Anyone using the Newer Garmin radio/nav units in a Warbird?
Wondering with the GMA audio selector module and transponder integrated into one display.
PM me if you want to avoid any drama.
Thx

I'm curious about this too.

A plane on the field recently had either a 650 or 635 installed in it, but it was a piper lance. However, I have not heard the pilots complain about it for any reason. They were really worried about it though due to it being touch screen.

I have been on a Beech 18 Craze recently and have even been thinking up how I would do the panel. I was planning on including both the GTN750 and GTN650 GPS with a G600 glass cockpit in both seats and either steam or glass engine gauges. Or I would try to get a G950 system for it with two PFD and a 15in MFD which would include engine gauges.

My main reason for the glass is mainly due to the requirements that will eventually be coming up with the Nextgen ATC system. ADS-B is coming and why not take advantage of the entire system to get better traffic avoidance in the aircraft.

At least you have some room for all that.
We're a bit limited in space.
