That's the good old Franklin, VA B-25. Previous discussion topics on this bird have come up quite frequently here in WIX. It would be nice to see this plane finally get the attention it needs. I wonder if the PT-26 is also getting sold off, or if someone has already taken it?

Parts and a boatload of 'em. The corrosion is going to be an issue I'm sure.The birds were not kind to it.

"Clear title" clear meaning it may have liens on it? Maybe he hasn't paid the tie down fee for 4 years or has mechanics liens.

No title? No problem! Just cut the data plate out, leave it laying there on the ramp, and haul the rest away! No data plate, no proof that you don't own it, right? If there's no data plate attached, then it's not an airplane, it's just a bunch of scrap metal, right?

From what I understand the liens are from an estate and not a tremendous amount to deal with. I would just be to scared of the potential corrosion in her.

It's a heck of a deal. It has a turret and glass nose, bomb bay doors, and it's "all there." A fiberglass fake Mustang project costs $40k before you start working on getting it finished. For under $50k a museum or collector could have it disassembled, moved home and reassembled in their collection.

Based off previous posts, this plane has been restored to flying condition from this type of condition before.

However, I really doubt this plane will sell. The owners were asking way too much earlier this year for it, so, I bet it has a large reserve price.

We have looked into this B-25 before, the owner was originally asking $250K, and then $140K. Unfortunately as you can see from the Ebay pictures the birds nested and crapped all over the entire aircraft. The stress panels need to be pulled and the inner fuel bays inspected. With it sitting like that I bet you will find some nasty corrosion.
